If you’re like me, you can spend hours looking at Grandma's gorgeous antique fabrics and vintage laces. It’s such a beautiful pastime, almost as relaxing as meditation! You are invited to breathe deeply, relax, and enjoy. Leave the dishes alone, and your worries behind. Give yourself permission to create and play with Grandma's Laces. Play with fibers, fabrics, and bling, which are oh-so-beautiful to both look at and touch. And please, just have fun!

The Wedding Keepsake Book
It only took me two years to finish up this book! Created for my lovely Niece Kristen.
This is the front cover. A little pocket holds a tiny sachet of Lavender buds.
Sachet....
There are at least three different Wedding Dress laces on the cover...
Back view of book...
Almost every page has a pocket...perfect for Wedding Keepsakes...
This page was created using an antique Irish Lace collar.
Note the tiny petit pearl buttons!
There are about five layers of laces to make up this pocket....
Pockets and 'belly bands' to slide in keepsake momentos.
Making coordinating little envelopes...the bouquet is her actual bouquet.
The pocket on the right is Irish Lace from my Auntie Mae's turn of the century (1900) lace stash. Found in a paper bag tucked way back in her bottom dresser drawer!

French Market Bag with tons of vintage laces!
Imagine yourself wandering around the mall, neighborhood shops, or at an elegant Sunday Brunch...and you're feeling so STYLISH and CHIC carrying this really fun French Market Bag!
It has a roomy pocket on the back side, perfect for iPad, tablet, phone. Another sweet, trimmed with rose lace, pocket under the front flap. Perfect for your keys or lipstick. And one more lacy pocket on the inside perfect for your secret treasures you like to tote around.
Bag measures approximately 10"x10". The cross body strap is made with three different vintage laces, and measures 52" for a comfortable fit.
Many layers of vintage laces, doilies and trims gives this tote a romantic essence. Actually, there are SIX layers of vintage lace and doilies on the front flap/lid. Another SIX layers of lace and doilies enhance the front of the purse, under the flap. The entire body of the purse has been crafted using one vintage crochet runner!

Keeping with the theme of vintage fibers, the inside is completely lined with a sweet vintage cotton, little roses and nosegays.
The flower on the front is made from vintage wedding dress satin. The button is a lovely Czech glass, hand painted button. The bow is crinkled seam ribbon, dyed to a very soft pinkish tint that picks up the pink in the pink and green rickrack lace along the top. One of my favorite vintage doilies grace the bottom of the bag. The rickrack trim was crochet right into the lovely lace edging which has been up cycled from a vintage pillow case!
